Merry Christmas Everyone!

Everyone is busy with the holidays and I am no exception.  As if having a 2 year old and an 8 month old didn’t keep me busy enough!  What is worse is that my 2 year old now thinks that getting up at 6:30 in the morning is his new routine.  He no longer wishes to sleep until 9 like he always has, oh my I am a tired mommy Sad smile.  I just wanted to take a few moments while having my morning coffee to post my Christmas crafting.  I had started out with the intentions to make stockings for my sister in law and her family in Portugal (we sent a barrel to them full of goodies so I put the stockings in there) , new stockings for us and some Christmas placemats.  I started out with a lot of time to get all this accomplished.  Now we are here on Christmas eve and the stockings are all done and the plan of placemats went to a plan of a table runner which will now be sewed after Christmas, just in time for next year Smile.  I did follow this tutorial by Fabric Worm for the stockings I did for my in laws.

They turned out pretty good and my in laws were happy with them but for our stockings I wanted something a little bigger.  I didn’t follow a tutorial for our stockings but traced the shape of a stocking I already had and used what I had learned from various tutorials to put them together.

These stockings I quilted and I think it just gives them such a nice look!                                                                                                                                    IMG_0016  IMG_0163_thumb.jpg

The last stocking was a last minute stocking.  I had originally made a gold one for myself but felt it looked out of place with the red and green colour scheme of all the other stockings so I pieced together some leftover fabric to make the last one and it is my favorite! IMG_0183

I would just like to take this time to wish each and everyone of you a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Let us all enjoy this holiday time with family, friends and loved ones.  Let us eat, drink and be merry Smile  I will not be sewing or blogging until after the holidays (I have a couple of baby projects to get started on) but  I did want to thank you all for taking the time to stop by and read my ramblings and even more thanks for all your kind words.  Thank you!

Merry Christmas
